Editor's Note
The Stone School building, commissioned between 1904 and 1909 by Chrysostomos - who was born in Trilye and returned there as metropolitan after studying in Greece - is most magnificent. It was built on a 965-square-metre plot on the slope west of İskele Street, between Cami Bayır Street and Yel Değirmeni Lane. The inscription "M. MYPIDHS APXITEKTWN 1909" carved on a stone on the building's west façade shows that the architect was M. Myrides and that the building was completed in 1909.
