Editor's Note

The Martyrs' Monument was erected in 1925 in Atatürk Park on Mudanya's Pier Square in memory of Şükrü Çavuş and the eight people who gave their lives in the liberation of Mudanya. A ceremony is held in front of this monument every year on 25 June and on 12 September, the day of Mudanya's liberation.
