The area known as Sırakayalar lies between Mudanya and Gemlik. Surrounded by high hills to the south, this spot is naturally sheltered from southerly winds. It takes its name from the rocks lined up toward the sea. Only a small part of the rocks is visible above ground, while they extend some 85 metres underwater. Made of unshaped, uncut large stones, the breakwater bends in an arc toward the east after about 20 metres.
