The Church of Saint Panteleimon in Golyazi (called Hagios Georgios in some sources) is one of the important and original examples of the Greek Orthodox churches of Anatolia. Sources relate that the village once had three churches and that the main church was dedicated to Saint George. Although some sources point to the late 19th century for its construction date, the date 1903 that emerged during the church's restoration works most likely indicates the year of its completion. The Church of Saint Panteleimon is a three-aisled basilica with a rectangular plan. It has a narthex on its west side.
