Artace (Artake) was an ancient town of Mysia near Cyzicus. A Milesian colony and seaport, it stood on the same peninsula as Cyzicus, about 40 stadia from it. In Greek mythology it is the place where the Argonauts exchanged the Argo's stone anchor for a larger one. It was burnt together with Proconnesus during the Ionian Revolt and, by the time of Procopius, had been rebuilt as a suburb of Cyzicus.
