It lies in the north of Balikesir, 2.5 km west of Korpeagac village in the Gonen district, near Ayvalidere village, on the bank of the Gonen River. The area is also known as the Halkali locality. It has probably been damaged in recent times. Many settlement sites in the region have been scattered by graders, and the mound's cone is said to have disappeared. It was identified in M. Ozdogan's 1989 surface survey of the Marmara Region. Finds from the Late Neolithic were recovered, along with Yarimburgaz 4, Besiktepe, and Kumtepe Ib (Chalcolithic), Troy I (Early Bronze Age), and Classical periods.
