It is located at the Kaletepe locality lying between the boundaries of Arabakonagi village in the Biga district and Cataltepe village in the Lapseki district of Canakkale province. The interiors of the castle's walls and towers have filled up with stones fallen from the walls and with earth. From a pit dug in front of the first tower, the wall height could be measured at 9 m. Examinations established that the mortar in the castle walls is Byzantine mortar, rich in brick fragments and coarse gravel. Ceramic and terracotta roof-tile fragments were also found at the site.
