Editor's Note
It is located at the Sazlidere locality within the village of Gureci in the Lapseki district of Canakkale province. The site contains Late Roman-Byzantine period remains. In the partly cultivated section, a marble impost capital bearing a cross motif and a fragment of a spiral-shafted column, along with a very large quantity of roof tiles, indicate that a chapel or church datable to the Byzantine period once stood here.
