It lies within the village of Ucpinar in the Lapseki district of Canakkale province. In an area that cannot be regarded as a fully fortified castle, there are defensive walls built in dry-stone technique, mostly from rubble and granite. As in the other castle settlements of this region, one of the typical castle sites of the Troad, the area is notable for its round-plan structural remains, standing side by side and independent, as well as for piles of heaped rubble stone (tumulus graves). The site, where illicit excavation pits are also found in places, yields Eastern Roman period roof tiles as well.
