Editor's Note
This site lies at the Gömren locality within the boundaries of Kangırlı village, in the Lapseki district of Çanakkale province. On and around the hill at the site is a large quantity of pottery finds, along with cut stones visible in part of the area. The tile fragments here are thought to be pieces of tile sarcophagi rather than roofing tiles. Judging by the form of the cut stones seen on the slopes, this area may have served as an ancient harbour.
