It lies within the boundaries of the Cevatpaşa neighborhood in the central district of Çanakkale province. The mosque was built in AH 1318 / AD 1900 by Şerife Hasibe Hanım, in accordance with the will of her husband, the artillery brigadier Necip Paşa. Severely damaged in the 1953 earthquake, the mosque is known to have been rebuilt in its present form before 1960. It was registered by the Çanakkale Regional Council for the Protection of Cultural Assets by decision No. 7650, dated 2 March 2022.
