Tıflı Cami

Tıflı Cami is a mosque in Çanakkale merkez, Çanakkale; Its inscription states that it was built 'in 1891, during the reign of Sultan Abdülhamid.' The mosque takes its name from the Ottoman word 'tıfl,' meaning 'child,' which later came to be pronounced 'tıflı.' The mosque served as the mosque of the nearby Sıbyan (primary) School.

The inscription of that school, which has now disappeared entirely, is set above the western garden entrance of the mosque.
