At the 1st kilometer of the Eceabat-Kilitbahir road, at the Çamburnu locality, on the slope within the grounds of the Directorate of the Çanakkale Wars and Gallipoli Historical Site, lies a martyrs' grave thought to hold a Turkish artillery captain, though no information about him survives. The grave is set in the middle of several tiers of stone blocks. From the diary of Münim Mustafa: 'Just as we had begun to climb the hill beyond Eceabat, a squadron of aircraft came overhead and began to circle. This was followed by the roar of a bomb.'
