Editor's Note
Just east of where the village stream's marsh-channel reaches the sea, fragments of roof tiles, traces of settlement and potsherds have been observed on the shore and the slope. Grave bricks have also been observed in the area extending 300-400 meters inland up to the slopes. A little to the west of the site lies the tomb of Ece Baba. It is not known whether he was one of the commanders of Süleyman Paşa, who distinguished himself in the conquest of the region, or some other Ece bey.
