Editor's Note
It lies within the boundaries of the village of Kocadere, in the Eceabat district of Çanakkale province. Pinpointed on Şevki Paşa's 1916 map [1], the cemetery area has been included in the scope of the Gallipoli Historical Site and New Martyrs' Cemetery Designs competition [2]. Turkish soldiers fallen from the 18th, 64th and 72nd Regiments, units known to have served in this area, were buried at the Kılıçdere Martyrs' Cemetery along with those at the Kılıç Bayırı cemetery. To avoid duplication, those whose names appear at the '57th Infantry Regiment Martyrs' Cemetery' are not listed here.
