Editor's Note
It stands about 2 km from the city center, on the eastern side of Erzurum, at the Topdağı site within the Nene Hatun Historical National Park, some 200 meters northeast of Aziziye Redoubt No. 1. It was built together with the Aziziye Redoubts between 1869 and 1873, during the reign of Sultan Abdülaziz, to a project by Fosfor Mustafa Paşa. Today Aziziye Redoubt No. 2 consists of a crescent-shaped earthen mound with a stone structure at each of its two ends, most of which is now in ruins.
