Editor's Note
The Zırnıklı Vehbi Bey Mansion in Erzurum, dating to the 18th century (built in 1739), is known as one of the oldest examples of civil architecture in Erzurum. It was reduced to ashes in a fire in 2013, but was brought back to light through extensive conservation and restoration work. With all restoration work complete, the mansion has been saved.
