Editor's Note

Because the inscription on the church has been removed, its exact date is unknown. However, on account of its plan features, facade arrangements and the materials used, the building is thought to date to the 18th century. It was placed under protection by the Supreme Council for Immovable Antiquities and Monuments by decision no. A-601 dated 10 June 1977. Built as a church, the structure has been used as a mosque since 1997-1998.
