About 5 km northeast of Karaz neighbourhood (village) in Erzurum, just to the right of the ring road, the bridge built over the Karasu River has no inscription. It is thought to have been built in the 17th century. The bridge was repaired between 1980 and 1984. The Karaz bridge runs east-west, is 135 m long, 6.25 m wide and 6.60 m high, and is bordered on both sides by stone parapets. Of the eight spans of the bridge, seven were built with flattened pointed arches where the water runs fast and hard, while the eighth, at the far end, was built smaller with a round arch.
