It lies within the village of Bahçeli in the Biga district of Çanakkale province. The house is significant as the home of Mehmet Çavuş, who was born in Bulgaria in 1878, migrated with his family to settle in Bahçeli village during the 1877-1878 Ottoman-Russian War, and took part in the Balkan Wars and the Gallipoli Campaign.
