Editor's Note
It lies within the boundaries of the town of Karabiga, in the Biga district of Çanakkale province. As a result of damage at the site, a large quantity of tile fragments and, in places, pottery sherds with Late Roman period features have been found. The character of the site and the form of the finds point to the features of a tumulus-type grave. Moreover, in the survey report titled "Thrace and Marmara Region Research, 1988" by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özdoğan, it is stated that, at the Karabiga Castle and Karımçalı localities, numerous tumuli were found along with abundant pieces from antiquity and the Middle Ages.
