Editor's Note
It lies within the boundaries of Değirmencik village, in the Biga district of Çanakkale province. The scrub-covered area is bounded at one end by a stream. In this area, which also takes in farmland, the ploughing of the fields has brought to the surface fired-clay roof tiles and pithos fragments, pottery handles, rims and bases, and grave-cover fragments. Given the character of the pottery sherds found at the site, it is thought to have been a Hellenistic or Roman period settlement.
