It lies at the Papaz Burnu locality in the Biga district of Çanakkale province. On a flat area near where natural-gas pipeline work was carried out, there is a section paved with cobblestones. From the shore toward the northeast of the cove, fired-clay roof tiles, pithos fragments, and sherds of everyday pottery datable to the Roman and Byzantine periods have been encountered. This site, which has a natural cove, is thought to be a medieval settlement that may have been connected to the nearby ancient city of Parion.
