This is an urban conservation area. No architectural project is permitted apart from stone houses suited to the local style. To walk from the village down to the harbour, you can follow a footpath cut in antiquity. The road known as Queen Valentina's Way was built by Pelemede Gattilisuo for his wife in the 1440s.
