Editor's Note
The Acemoğlu Bridge, located on the Karasu River at about the 35th kilometer of the Erzincan-Kemah highway, connects the two banks of the Acemoğlu Gorge. The construction date of the single-arch cut-stone bridge is unknown. In 1996, a memorial was built in honor of the 14 soldiers who were martyred when a military truck plunged off the bridge into the river.
