Editor's Note
A cross found on the site, dated to the 11th-12th century AD, reveals that this area was used in a later period of the church. The studies have shown that the church, in its present plan, is a basilica-plan structure with three naves and three apses extending east-west, as seen in Early Byzantine churches.
