Editor's Note
It was commissioned by Abdullah Ağa in AH 1210 (1796). Its inscription reads: Abdullah Ağa founded a house of worship... and ends with the chronogram "yek cami'ül-hayr," giving the year 1210 (1796). The mosque stands within a wide courtyard, but no trace remains today of the madrasa cells and library that once surrounded it. The mosque is built of rubble and cut stone on a square plan and is covered with a hipped roof. A three-part portico for latecomers was added to its front.
