The tomb is in the Karacaahmetli neighbourhood of the Yerköy district of Yozgat province, on the Kırşehir-Yozgat border, on the E88 motorway, within a cemetery. Molla Osman's ancestors and tribe, six generations back, were a respected tribal clan living in Egypt in the 15th century. Sultan Selim the Grim led a campaign to Egypt to take the Mantle of the Caliphate and the Caliphate itself. The moment he set foot in Egypt he was welcomed by this tribe, who told him, "We are at your command at every moment." Selim took the Caliphate in 1515. He sent a delegation to the officials and requested the sacred relics, and the sacred relics too were sent to Selim.
