Editor's Note
The bridge in the township of Sekili in the Yerköy district consists of four pointed-arch openings, the central one being the highest and growing smaller towards the riverbanks. It is built entirely of cut stone. On top, again of neatly cut stone, there are parapets on both sides. The bridge, which is 60 metres long and runs north-south over the Delice River, the longest tributary of the Kızılırmak, bears no inscription, so exactly who built it and when is not known for certain; however, judging by its construction features, it can be dated to the Seljuk period (mid-13th century).
