Editor's Note
Standing in front of the Kasaplar Mosque in the Kasaplar district, this fountain is intact and still running. According to its inscription, it was built in 1170 AH / 1756 CE by Haci Mahmut Aga. Source: The Water Sources and Water Structures of the City of Balikesir in the Ottoman Period: Wells, Maslaks, Ablution Fountains and Fountains by M. Murat Ontug.
