About this Hasan Baba, whose grave is the subject of many legends, M. Yasa and H. Korkut relate the following, drawing on the Şakayık-ı Numaniye: "He established a connection with Emir Buhari, who is buried in Bursa. When Emir Sultan was about to die, the devotees around him asked him to recommend or appoint someone to his position to guide them. Thereupon Emir Sultan said: 'When I die, you will find a certain man who is privy to the secret. It all depends on the answer that man will give.'"
