Editor's Note
It was built in 1897 by the herbalist Hacı Ali Efendi. On the grounds that it had worn down over time and become inadequate, it was rebuilt by the local residents in 1962 in its present form. Construction inscription: "He who builds is granted success in his pious intention; how blessed is this man, Hacı Ali Efendi, free of all guile. With sincerity he became a follower of the path of the righteous, and by spending his wealth he became a guide to good works in this matter. God bless it, how fine its building has been built, and how firm; may it forever be adorned with worship throughout. One thousand and three hundred and ten…"
