Editor's Note
It lies within the Dereköy neighbourhood of Manyas district, Balıkesir province. The entrance to a rock-cut tomb, uncovered during illegal excavations, has been identified on the site. Together with the chamber tomb, the numerous stroter (roof-tile) fragments found in the area suggest that this was a necropolis. It was registered as a First-Degree Archaeological Site by decision no. 1806 of the Directorate of the Balıkesir Regional Council for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage, dated 28 January 2020.
