Editor's Note
It lies within the Dinkçiler neighbourhood of Altıeylül district, Balıkesir province. It is a single-storey, square-plan building with walls of alternating rubble stone and brick and a hipped roof. From the three-line marble inscription above the entrance, it is understood to have been built in AH 1327 (AD 1909). Now used as a public reading room (Millet Kıraathanesi), the building has been renovated, but its outer walls and entrance door retain their authenticity. It was registered as a Cultural Asset Requiring Protection (group 1) by decision no. 2709 of the Balıkesir Regional Directorate for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage, dated 25 March 2021.
