Editor's Note
Kalecik Bridge is a historic stone bridge over the Kızılırmak river in the Kalecik district of Ankara. As it bears no inscription its exact date is unknown, but its architecture suggests it may date to the Seljuk period. It is also known as the Kızılırmak Bridge after the river it crosses, and was repaired in the 19th century by Hacı İbrahim Ağa of the Develioğlu family, with the master stonemason Tirkuşlu leading the work.
