Editor's Note
It was built in 1938-1940 within the bounds of Güzelyalı village in the central district of Çanakkale province in order to strengthen the fortifications of the Strait. The fort, which never saw battle, holds two British Vickers guns removed from the battleship Mesudiye. Consisting of reinforced-concrete passage tunnels, small shelters, and earthen trenches, the site is no longer in use and now serves as a recreation area.
