The fort stands at the İntepe (Erenköy) locality on the Çanakkale-İzmir highway, about 2 km west of the road, on the slope of Çakaltepe. In its present state it is hidden by trees and brush. The fort was most likely built by Abdülhamid II sometime after 1897.
