It lies within the village of Akçapınar in the central district of Çanakkale province. In his report on this bridge, Prof. Dr. Manfred Korfmann, former director of the Troy Excavations, stated: "In the Troad plain there is a system of roads and bridges connecting the ancient cities to one another. One of these crosses one of the branches of the Küçük Menderes stream in the southwest of the plain, where the plain turns toward the Araplar Strait, 3 km north of the village of Pınarbaşı. The bridge, repaired by concreting over it, is still in use today."
