Editor's Note
It lies within the village of Üvecik in the Ezine district of Çanakkale province. It is a mosque on a near-square rectangular plan, with a wooden ceiling and a hipped roof. Its main wall lost its original character in 1963 when a tree fell on it. In 1970, a two-storey reinforced-concrete ablution area, an imam's room, and a Quran course section were added at the entrance to the prayer hall. Its single-balconied, polygonal-shafted minaret was damaged in an earthquake and repaired in 1968 by the minaret master Cahit Usta. In the mosque garden there are building fragments and a marble inscription in Latin script bearing the date 21 August 1868.
