Editor's Note
It is located in Kumkale village in the central district of Canakkale province. During one of the landings on April 25, 1915, in the Battle of Gallipoli, this position changed hands twice, and after a process in which both sides suffered heavy casualties, the French units, unable to hold on here, withdrew from the area on April 28, 1915. This is a war cemetery dating from that time. It was registered by decision no. 5735 of the Canakkale Regional Directorate for the Conservation of Cultural Property, dated October 22, 2019.
