Editor's Note
It is located within the Akcakecili village of the Ezine district of Canakkale province. It is the mortared remains of a structure built using the opus cementicium wall-construction technique. It is thought to share characteristics with the structures in the necropolis area of the ancient city of Alexandria Troas and to have been built as a burial chamber. The remains are believed to be one of the structures situated along the road leading from the ancient city to the Apollo Smintheus cult area at Gulpinar, regarded as the sacred precinct to the south.
