Editor's Note
Karaca Ahmed Sultan was a Turkmen dervish and folk healer, one of the "Saints of Anatolia" known as the "Abdalan-i Rum." Many tombs and cenotaphs have been built in his name. One of these is the lodge and tomb on the bank of the Sakarya River, 26 km from the center of the Polatli district and 2 km from Karacaahmed Village. Karaca Ahmed lived in the time of Orhan Gazi and, according to tradition, was the son of Suleyman el-Horasani, who ruled in the land of Persia.
