Editor's Note
The Juliopolis Necropolis is an ancient burial ground in the Nallıhan district of Ankara. Part of the ancient settlement of Juliopolis, sometimes called the lost city of Bithynia, the necropolis was first discovered in 1999 and dated to the 1st century AD. Excavations led by the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations have shown that it was created in the Hellenistic period, used intensively in Roman times, and continued in service through the Byzantine era.
