Editor's Note
The figure known as Şıp Şıp Dede was His Holiness Seyid Muhammet. The section where Şıp Şıp Dede's retreat (çilehane) stood has been arranged as a shrine. He is called "Şıp Şıp Dede" because of the dripping of water into a mihrab-shaped pool in the cave below this shrine.
