Bilaller Köyü Mezarlığı

Editor's Note

Located within the village of Bilaller in the Çan district of Çanakkale province. The cemetery, still in use today, is covered with dense trees and is quite neglected. In its central part there are some 20 to 25 gravestones made with local stonework different from typical Ottoman-period gravestones. Since they are buried in the ground their dates cannot be determined, but their headstone types suggest a burial ground going back as far as the 17th century.
