Scepsis was an ancient settlement on the Biga Peninsula, at the site of present-day Kurşunlutepe village near the Bayramiç district of Çanakkale. It is notable as the place where Aristotle's famous library was hidden before being moved to Pergamon and Alexandria. It was also the home of Metrodorus of Scepsis and Demetrius of Scepsis.
