Editor's Note
It is located at the Esrefderesi locality within the boundaries of Yassibag village in the Bayramic district of Canakkale province. At the site, wall remains at foundation level have been recorded along with abundant ceramic and tile fragments datable to the Byzantine period. In the forested area to the north of the site, foundation traces have been found, together with remains of a citadel-type structure datable to the Middle-Late Byzantine period and of a second enclosing wall around it. In her 2021 surface survey final report, Prof. Dr. Ayse Caylak Turker stated that the site can be dated to the Middle-Late Byzantine period.
