The tomb lies 15 kilometers southwest of Inegol, within the cemetery on the northern slope of the neighborhood. The founding of this village, which bears the name of Turgut Alp, a comrade-in-arms of Osman Bey, founder of the Ottoman State, dates back to the founding of the Ottoman state itself. Turgut Alp was the one who conquered Inegol in 1299 and spent the final days of his life there. Upon his death he was buried in Turgut Alp village.
