Yenice may well hold within it Canakkale's most intriguing religious site. The Issiz Cuma Mosque, within the boundaries of Seyvan village, is the earliest-dated mosque in the area. It is said to have been built around 1335 by Gazi Osman Pasha, an Ottoman pasha. The mosque is made entirely of wood.
