It is located at the Sehitler site within the boundaries of Akcakoyun village, Yenice district, Canakkale province. The area has been arranged as a martyrs' cemetery, with 20 marble plaques bearing only the crescent-and-star emblem, a metal sign, a flagpole, and a reinforced-concrete fountain outside the area that was evidently added later. The sign reads: 'Known as the martyrs' cemetery, may the souls of the heroic sons of the homeland who watered this sacred soil with their blood, gave it life with their lives, never let its flag be lowered, and never let its call to prayer be silenced, rest in peace.'
